Are you a digital scrapbooker? Do you find it overwhelming? Do you even know where to begin? I was so frustrated when I first started to do digital scrapbooking. None of it made any sense to me. Now I find it to be easy and so much fun. I'd like to share some of the tips and techniques I have learned using Creative Memories MM and SBC+ software. I am not a CM consultant and do not represent CM. I am doing this for myself and my friends who enjoy this hobby as much as I do.
What can I help you with today?
Getting Photos into SBC+
Have you ever had too many photos after a vacation or event that it was just too overwhelming to even start a scrapbook project? Recently I started a project that had photos from several different cameras. Problem was that all the cameras were not set for the same date and time.
My scrapbook style for themed projects is that everything has to be in chronological order, just like the event was. If the date and time are not correct, putting the photos in order is almost impossible when you have literally hundreds of photos you're working with. Combine that with the new "auto fill" option in SBC+ and what should be an easy task is even more difficult because SBC+ sorts everything in either earliest to latest or latest to earliest order.
I had selected auto fill for my project thinking I could just merge the ones that didn't fit in properly. Last night I had the 166 photos selected for the project, in order, in a folder on my desktop. I ended up with my SBC+ project open and then opened the folder on my desktop, shrunk it and layered it on top of my SBC+ project and was viewing the photos in it and comparing them to the order of the photos in the project. I thought, why can't I just drag the photo from the folder to my project? So, I tried it and it worked! How cool is that?
This does not work when you select "get photos" from SBC+ and have a folder open to select photos from. I'm not sure what the difference is - especially when it's the same darn folder. This would have come in so handy for so many of my albums.
Hey, it's a tip.
